Dust Testing

Dust testing is often overlooked when it comes to safety and air quality screening, but it’s a very important part of ensuring that your commercial building or business is safe. One of the dangers we test for is to determine if the dust that accumulates in your building has reached a level of potential combustion – translating to possible fires, explosions, or equipment failure.

What are the types of combustible dust?

  • Solid organic materials such as sugar, flour, grain, and wood
  • Carbonaceous materials such as charcoal and soot
  • Textile fibers such as cotton
  • Metals

The National Fire Protection Agency and OSHA require workplaces to maintain standards that protect their employees from harm. Our certified inspectors perform dust testing in compliance with these standards as well as make recommendations on how to remediate any violations that may exist.

With locations in both Maine and Orlando, Florida, we work with commercial property owners, government entities, medical buildings and hospitals, schools, and residential property owners to resolve their asbestos concerns.
