Bacterial Sampling

We provide bacteria sampling for residential and commercial properties. Sampling is performed on various surfaces in order to determine if any coliform bacteria are present.

Bacteria sampling is often performed when there has been a sewage spill or contamination. Testing is often done both before and after cleanup in order to provide confirmation that the area has been effectively decontaminated.

What are the types of coliform bacteria?

• Total coliform – bacteria found in soil, water, and in human and animal fecal waste
• Fecal coliform – bacteria originating in the intestines of warm-blooded animals 
• E. coli – bacteria found in the intestines of humans and some animals that can cause severe food poisoning
