Frequently Asked Questions

Evergreen Air Quality Services is an independent indoor environmental testing company serving Maine, New Hampshire and Florida. We inspect, sample, test and report. We do not sell remediation, cleanup or repairs, so our findings are never tied to selling the next job. Below are answers to the questions we hear most. If you don’t see yours, contact your local team.

About Evergreen

What does Evergreen Air Quality Services do?
We provide independent indoor environmental testing for homes and commercial properties. Depending on your concern, that can include indoor air quality testing, mold testing and inspection, and, in Maine and New Hampshire, asbestos inspection and testing. You receive a report that explains what was found.
No. Evergreen is testing-only. We do not provide remediation, removal, cleanup, restoration or repair services, and we do not sell them through partners. That keeps our findings independent.
When the company testing your property also sells the fix, its findings can be shaped by what it wants to sell. Because we only test and report, our results are about your property, not about a follow-on job.
We serve Maine, New Hampshire and Florida. Indoor air quality and mold testing are available in all three states. Asbestos inspection and testing is available in Maine and New Hampshire only.
Our work is led by Certified Indoor Environmental Consultants (CIEC). Angelo Quatrano serves Maine and New Hampshire, and Lynn Campbell serves Florida.

Choosing the right test

I’m not sure which test I need. Where do I start?
Start with what you’re noticing: a musty smell, a past leak, air that feels stuffy, or renovation plans for an older building. Tell us about it when you contact us, and we’ll help you work out which testing scope fits your concern.
Common reasons include odors you can’t explain, air that feels stale or different from room to room, changes after a renovation or new furnishings, or concerns after a moisture event. Indoor air quality testing →
Mold testing can help if you notice a musty smell, have had a leak or water damage, see possible growth, or want to understand conditions before buying or selling a property. A smell or a past leak doesn’t prove mold is present; testing helps you find out. Mold testing →
Older buildings can contain materials worth checking before renovation or demolition work begins. Testing before work starts helps you understand what you’re working with. Asbestos testing →
Yes. We work with business owners, property and facility managers, landlords and multifamily operators, and due-diligence teams. Commercial testing →
Yes. After another company has completed remediation, independent testing can help you understand the conditions afterward. Because we don’t perform remediation ourselves, we’re not checking our own work.

How testing works

What happens during a testing visit?
We review the areas of concern, collect samples appropriate to the scope (for example air or surface samples), and send them for laboratory analysis. You then receive a report explaining the findings.
When it’s relevant to the scope, indoor samples may be compared with an outdoor baseline to help put indoor results in context.
Someone needs to provide access to the areas being tested. We’ll confirm what’s needed when we schedule your visit.

Results and reports

How long does it take to get results?
Standard reports are typically ready within 24–48 hours. VOC reports typically take about 1 week.
Your report explains what was tested, how samples were collected, and what the laboratory results show, written so you can understand it and decide your next step.
Yes. The report is yours to share with whoever you choose, such as a contractor, landlord, tenant, buyer or seller.
We explain what the results show so you can make an informed decision. Because we don’t sell corrective work, we have no stake in which next step you choose.

Booking and pricing

How much does testing cost?

Cost depends on the type of testing and the size and scope of the property. See our packages and pricing, or contact us for a scope based on your concern.

Submitting a request does not book an appointment. We’ll follow up to discuss your testing needs.
